since I am stuck in the house, I started looking through my boxes....it is the first time I have the two tables together on the same shelf....and I happen to have a C-1, B-2 in the same spot. Today I am actually gonna play some music on them...well, one of them at least as the other needs some TLC

By now my C-1 has been doing preamp duty with my B-1/B-2 rotations for a couple years but soon it will get the TLC it deserves. In the mean time it's driving another V-FET beauty while I finish bypassing those nasty swiches in the B-2

Today I am actually gonna play some music on them...well, one of them at least as the other needs some TLC

that C-1 is a beauty and it work Did you switch those meter bulbs to LEDs? keeping it in the cabinet with the incandescent bulbs still on duty, might smoke a few things.

Something I took a gamble on and I'm happy I did. As you already know, it's another very rare V-FET beauty from Japan that I'm sure you'll agree deserves a thread if its own.

Someday you should stop with the "CX-1 cold solder issues" disinformation. You are the only member here that I know of that doesn't appear to have ever owned a CX-1 but insists on claiming that they have problems. None of those of us that own one have had this problem.

Just for fun hooked the Sansui CA-606 in front of my Yamaha V-Fets and can say after an extended listing session this Combo dont need to hide behind the Yamaha C-2 and C-2a which are also in the house the Sansui CA-606 ist the best from Sansui ever heared wonderful piece of gear
playing together with the Yamys just amazing as trust my ears
Hard to believe the 606 never serviced since 50 years thats real Japanese engineering at its best
