Some random thoughts that are on my mind at the moment.
1. There are quite a few people here on this wacky peninsula who currently complaining about how "cold" it is right now. 60° F? Cold? Really? We just came through one of the coldest winters the Cape has ever seen. WTF is wrong with people?
2. On a related note, even though it snowed more times last winter than it did this winter, the total accumulation this year was more than double that of last year. Even so, the huge mountains of snow left by plows and loaders have been melting much faster this year. I know of only 2 that remain and one should be gone completely by the weekend.
3. One thing cats and dogs have in common is that any time you eat anything, both will look at you as if to say "You're gonna share with me, right?"
75F is cold to me. I'm most comfortable outside when it is over 100F. We had a record setting MARCH. Hottest March on record with many days over 100. Man, was that great! We had about 2 weeks of cold winter weather in January - maybe highs of about 55F.Finally there's age, that to a degree, the older one gets, the ability to deal with the cold becomes evident.
Our temps are now 70F during the day and 40F at night so we have the heater off and the windows open wide during the day, then close them up so that they are open 4" to 6" at night. Our bedroom has been staying around 65F this way and we're sleeping like rocks !

Have heard of "Sleeper Cells", but never "Sleeper Rocks", km.
We keep our night temp...same as y'all.

I paid $5.45 yesterday^^^^^$3,16 for gas? It's $4.95 at my house.
Wife has been running the bedroom AC. I have to put on blanketsI have gradually come to want the indoor temp warmer as I have aged and lived in the desert. Currently my AC setting is 79 F daytime and 77 for sleep, and heat is 72 daytime and 65 for sleep. Actually, the summer room air temp drops below 77 as the system switches from day to night and tries to make the thermostat go to 77, which is pleasant for getting to sleep.
Long ago I had an electric blanket and then a water bed. I think I would not tolerate either now though, as sleeping is much better with body temp following its natural variation with a cool room and the right amount of covers.
Those little worms burrow into your ears and then you're stuck with them.Strange how the mind works when a certain song/tune ends up in the brain, and... you can't shake it!
Is it the melody, the lyrics, or does the music revive some pleasant memory from the past?
Like I have one in mind (literally); Tennessee Ernie Ford's ballad of, "Sixteen Tons"! And it's a case of BOTH lyrics and melody that grabs me!
