I wish I would have taken more pics but I get involved in
the project and forget to stop and take pics.

My Honda XRV750 Africa Twin 1990. It can be used on and off-road, but after some off-road training lessons I decided I wasn't born for that kind of thing.

Takes a while to let that all soak.in. The throttle lever, the foot brake, hi way pegs. The gold B&S engine is period 60's. He'll yeah I'd ride that.

Yeah that's a cool picture all the way around. Neighborhood looks like one of those that sprang up post war. The hot rod looks like it had a chop top too.

My friend and I built a bunch of things like that when we were about 12, before we moved on to motorcycles. They were all death traps, but we had a blast building and wrecking them. We were both poor and our parents couldn't afford to buy us minibikes. Most were built from old lawnmower engines that were given to us.

And a great time of year to do it! Did you hit the Pig Trail? How about Hwy7? Great rides in that area around Jasper, AR.

I did hit the Pig Trail, in fact I think that photo is on HWY 215 right off the trail. My first trip to the area on a bike, can not wait to go back with a little more time.

Not mine. But when I parked near this Suzuki I had to take a photo - very cool vintage bike. It was in Delray Beach, Florida.

I've seen several beautifully restored bikes of this era since I moved to Florida.

I had a thing for Suzuki UJMs as well:

1983 GS1100ED purchased new in 1983. I sold it a few years ago:



Same bike with a second set of body work I acquired over the years:



1982 GS1100SZ (Katana):



Same bike with spoke wheels built up from parts accumulated over time. Katanas were sold in Australia only with spokes and I always loved the look. Sold this one a few years back as well.
