Well, that looks like a direct drive platter, not a belt drive one. Did someone switch it by mistake, or did the TT get marked wrong at the factory? Is it really a direct drive unit?

It is a Belt drive Technics and that platter is for a Pioneer tt..LOL. I have to look for the right one in my storage unit, I just grabbed what I saw, tt without a platter and this platter was in a box? Oh well...had a good laugh!:D

My first turntable was an SL-B101 ( or whatever the European equivalent was ) and i have to admit it was not a very good TT, in fact i have passed on a few in my local thrifts in the past.

If they are cheap enough and can be fix for little money, good starter tt for someone. I think I paid a few dollars for this one.:scratch2:Just need to find the box with the platter in it?
