Taylor Swift

Last night I went through a few of her CDs at B&N. Nothing really struck me. Couple of OK songs (IMO), but Gilmour live in Gdansk sucked up my $20.

Good one! I have some DL's to go on eMusic, so I am gonna grab some Taylor.

That gilmour is amazing , i bought the Limted box with all the cd's & dvd's & collectable stuff , great , great sounding show !

Glenn, I have her on my dvr singing with def leppard off of VH1-classics Crossroads show. I'll try to bring it to the next KC fest if I can remember at that time.

Over at my sisters last night working on her computer, and she put on one of Taylor's albums. OK stuff for background music I guess, but not my cup 'O tea.

You should like this Glenn if you haven't seen it yet. Too bad the video quality is so poor.

She’s a cute kid and the song was O.K. My impression was like the first time I heard the Dixie Chicks’ “Wide Open Spaces”, I liked the song but the vocals sounded like Karaoke. Taylor’s young and has time to perfect her vocals, so I’d give her the benefit of the doubt. I'll give her credit for actually singing it rather than that lip-sync B.S.

Next time SNL runs TS I am going to TIVO it for old times sake. I loved both times she was on SNL.

Four years on....

Haven't heard much of her stuff, but she just belted out a few tunes on SNL this evening. While I was not exactly blown away by the music or performance (perfectly listenable, I suppose), the girl is awfully easy on the eyes.

Back in 2009 when Echowars started this thread appreciating TS's beauty. I commented that she looked quite average to me. I still think that was true looking at the picture above. (Not to mention she looks to be about 14)

But it's struck me just how not-so-average she's become in appearance in just a few short years.

It really shows what the superstar-making machine can do with with rather unremarkable raw material. Someone must have seen this potential she's realized back when she was a kid.

I still don't think I've heard any of her music.

She really is a stunningly beautify girl, but her voice is awful to me and her songwriting is meaningful only to 15 year old girls. I guess as that's her audience, that's OK, but it has not grown with her.

Indeed, she's changed, more attractive now. My G/daughter and her mom went to see her this fall (first concert and all) and "Red" as I know call her put on a great show. She's kinda "media visible" if you will since moving down here to a shore front mansion.......That must keep the locals busy!!

She's become a $200 million a year machine. I've always wanted to give Red a listen.

Have not worked any of her shows. I hear she is a real bitch to work for.

Good pick up Brett!
