Jumble Sale - miscellaneous items donated or offered for sale at a church hall venue (for example) usually for the benefit of the church, or a charity concern. They last for maybe a day or just a morning.

Boot Sale.
So called because people gather at a pre-arranged time with items for sale (usually in a farmers field, or unused car park), brought in the boot (trunk) of their car. Now dramatically expanded, so that trucks and van loads of even 'new' goods are brought and offered for sale, mostly at knock down prices. These can last for up to a day, but mostly up to 6 hours or so.
