Possibly the world's largest collection of BPC. Date stamp appears to be Portuguese, so probably over here in The EU Zone or in Brazil. To each their own.
LOL. You should probably learn a little more about this stuff before you comment on other peoples collections.
It's almost entirely TOTL, I see lots of Akai GX95 tape decks along with the rest of the matching system (with the wooden side panels) which is incredibly rare, a full Pioneer Elite TOTL stack with the Laserdisc player which is very very rare, Sony TA N55ES along with the matching system. Loads of other racked gear I don't recognise along with the Yamaha M65 or 85's, that awesome Sansui spectrum analyser. This is a very well put together collection of very high end (and some incredibly hard to find) gear, to call this BPC is one of the silliest comments i've ever read on here.
OMG, I wish I wuz a 13 yr old boy w/about 3 rich daddies & stepdaddies so's I could have a system just like this...
Curious why you think this is BPC. It seems to be just black gear that became popular after the silver phase. The quality did vary but as stated most of those pieces are pretty sweet and would make a great system equal to the silver stuff of years earlier only a bit more r&d so maybe better. Brands Pioneer, Sony, Akai and Yamaha all seem to have kept making gear worthy of inclusion and I'm sure there are some that covet this gear as much as some of us like the silver stuff.Maybe they own & operate a factory that manufactures goods made of ... BPC?
That would be my observation. More of a gearhound/showoff than a music lover. LE85s (the mids in the two pair of L300) will bore holes through solid material without the lenses on them.Doesn't look like a setup or system for a listener. Looks like a collector or flipper of gear.![]()

Great stacks but once the lights are down low it is really hard to see the units and use them properly.

Check what an old joke like scroe? I can't be bothered with digging that deep to find that nugget. We have both been here for a dozen years and bpc is the plastic crap. I have a chunk if it, Technics receiver, unscrew a couple screws holding the faceplate at the top and it unclips (plastic faceplate) for removal.Oy vey, it's an old joke around AK, gear could be the best(est... heh heh) **** around for all I know. Sheesh, check please.

If you are just painting the gear stacks with a broad brush as a joke because it is the good stuff, and you know it, but dissing it because it is black, Oh that was funny. Great, no one got it.
Dunno, Edwin-Almost thought it was a possible Yoorapean version of a truck sale of cheap **** speakers in a strip mall somewhere.. Few guys have said most of this is DECENT stuff tho, so, Who Knows ?!?
