...Yamaha MX 1000 amps...

Only one of the amps is an MX-1000. I notice the aluminum faceplate has identical damage as two of my amps from that series. The aluminum rib bends over at the very edge. It must come from poor packing in shipping damage, as it's a bit of a protrusion. I also notice the MX-1000 display is a bit over-cooked. It looks orange where the other two amps look red and perhaps a bit dim.

My Yamaha amps have different display brightness, as well.

He has two Sansui SE-88. I consider it one of the best looking EQs ever made. 14 bands. Great display. Elegant look.

Yup. not much Audio Research, Mark Levinson, Krell, decent speakers and such in the stacks but stuff lots of folks here would love to have. I don't see much that is going to replace some of the pieces I like but that doesn't mean it is junk. But whatever, I just didn't understand mystic's comments.

Well, I'll be the 1st to admit I know less than Nuttin' Honey about a LOT of this stuff, but that roomful o'Schtuff DID have an aura of Quantity over quality vibe to my old, rheumy eyes......
There's some quality gear there, and a large quantity of it. Again, IMO, the guy is more about showing off how deep his pockets are than showing the joy he gets from music.

Black Plastic Crap.

I heard a joke once, but it wasn't really a joke. Maybe the parts left out made it funny.
And no one got it anyways. Well except for the joke teller, he thought it was hilarious.

Guys showing off an extremely impressive collection of stuff and all you can take from it is to pass judgement on the type of person he is?

Sounds like jealousy.

My observation is that the gear isn't set up for listening. He's certainly not getting the best SQ from that arrangement. However, it is well set up for playing just loud and showing off in videos to people who can't afford it. Just my crappy opinion.

Amazed some here could identify some of those . It didn’t appear like junk to me .
He likes what he has . So be it .

A lot of it is pretty decent. I didn't watch the entire vid, just skipped around some, and I spotted some Pioneer Elite gear, some Sansui B-2101 amps, and some nice Yamaha amps. The Akai, Yamaha, and Pioneer GEQs aren't bad pieces for what they are and have cool displays. The big Technics stuff is good and a little rare. C-V D9s rock, and L300s are awesome speakers by almost any measure.
Funny thing is, over the last 15 years, I've had one (at least) of nearly everything in the vid with the exception of the big Technics gear. Still have a pair of L300s.

Unc - what the hell is happenin' to this place? Were the "P" and "C" replaced w/ the words "political" and "correctness"? I must have missed the memorandum.

P.S. Or maybe "petty" and "compliance"?

Hey Mystic, let me guess - you took a perfunctory look, made a throwaway post and probably didn't think too much of it.

Is that about right??

Seriously, guys, wtf is going on here?? Mystic is one of the good ones.

Jesus, everyone, lighten up. Please.
