Tuning meter

Love the LED upgrade that I just completed but I wish the tuning meter worked. Also, I am new to this forum and I love all things vintage Marantz!

Sorry, the needle never moves.

Open up your unit and attach a voltmeter across the connections for the meter. Now tune an FM station. What does your voltmeter show? A meter off center suggests a stuck needle. This test will prove that.

Yup, where I was going with this. Used meters are on eBay all the time if it is stuck.

The voltage was changing at the meter so I took a screwdriver and gently tapped the meter a few times and it is working now! Maybe a temporary fix but it’s good for now. Thanks for the help.

Probably just stuck. In the Military, we called that 'brogan maintenance'.
