What High End PreAmp do you have?

Probably not exactly as high end as a lot of preamps in this thread but my Soundcraftsmen PE2217, Phase Linear 3300 series two, Phase Linear 2000 and my Nikko Beta Two have been giving good service for years now.

This thread should be in General Audio Discussion not Solid State.

Last January I purchased this 3 month old McIntosh C220 tube preamp. Love it!

What constitutes high end, as opposed to perhaps esoteric?

Proceed PRE
Forte F44
Anthem AVM 20

High end equivalent?

PassDiy B1

Most expensive high end pre-amp I own is the Technics SU-9600. MRRP was $690.00 back in 1974,that's equivalent to just over $3,318.00 today.

Earlier in this thread I posted that I had never owned a separate pre-amp, well now I do :thmbsp: - a while ago I bought a Sansui B-2102 +C-2102 pair.

(not 'high-end' but as good as I'll probably ever own)

Sofia seemed to be scrutinizing the various components so intently that she must have a thorough knowledge of the circuit design!

Not sure if it would qualify as 'high end' but I have a recapped / re-op-amped Denon PRA-1000 that plays very, very, very well with my system.

I have to get busy and build a power supply for my PS Audio IV preamp. Bought it over 12 years ago and have been looking for a power supply for it every since. The last month I have come across enough info that I feel I can build my own. Another one of my bucket list projects to do before I leave.

Don't know if it's "high end" or not, but I use an Apt Holman as a daily driver and absolutely love the thing.

As a man with kids, grandkids and bills to pay I would never be able to throw down market price on a high end pre amp.God let me find a Audio Research SP8 for $10.Given me a glimpse into hi end audio.

Mine is the Harman/Kardon Citation in black. According to The Vintage Knob, the black Citation 17 is a rare model.

Not my pic, I borrowed from the web.
