Yes, I ordered some bulbs from him last fall and was told that he's calling it quits.

He suggested though that since there is inventory remaining, that I check with him anyway for future lamp bulb needs as he may still have the required part on hand.

No, wjoe is another vendor. We know dgwojo has retired, too.

Losing places to get lighting for these old units just as the LEDs are getting ready for prime time instead of lighting by Chernobyl.

Bummer, I just tried messaging dgwojo yesterday about a new display bulb for my Yamaha AV-90 PY. Sounds like I need to cast a wider net.

I'm new here -- would WJOE be the next best place to find what I'm looking for? Any other suggestions?

I would think twice or more before ordering from this projectblk86 on ebay. Very first order he sent the wrong size for my sansui pointer. I sent a friendly note with a pic letting him know. He responded by berating me and blocking me, like I would ever order from him again. Use peace.love.and.music. Great guy who I've ordered from many times. Also no afilliation, just good experiences.

That guy tapes parts up so much it takes forever to get at them. I think he must have stock in that tape company.

I'm currently doing a number of repairs for a business and was given lamps they bought to make changes. One pack of lamps came from hifiaudio with just six lamps and three were the wrong ones. Told the business owner to stop buying from them last year or the year before. He didn't listen.

I've had 2 customers provide rubber parts from WJOE. Sizes wrong or poor tolerances on the idler tires causing uneven drive.

I have never had any issues with the stuff I bought from him. Of course, I already knew exactly what I needed before I ordered. YMMV...
