Unfortunately thats what got me into the sound business was repairing my own and others R2R machines. First at radio station and then on a work study program and then to keep my self busy when I wasn't servicing or installing professional PA systems or large HT systems. You can't believe how hard DJ's treat equipment in Radio Stations and recording studios. They know better.

Last I heard, Russ Bachmann was still doing repairs in Bergen County NJ, he has what was one of the last existing authorized TEAC repair centers. Excellent reputation.
Well, they relocated to South Jersey....
