Worst. Movie. Ever.

John Woo. He made some excellent and very stylized action crime movies in Hong Kong such as The Killer and Hard Boiled but I think his American movies have been, well, mediocre.

John Woo is hit and miss for sure. Face/Off is a decent watch. It had over the top action and an equally over the top story.

In the b-movie horror genre there are just so many.
Attack of the Killer Donuts
Poultrygeist Night of the Chicken Dead
Gingerdead Man Vs Evil Bong

^probably the worst I've ever seen.

Well, todays movie at the gym was the Spielberg/ Robbin Williams fiasco "Hook"-- a movie so bad that I left theatre after ten minutes and finished exercising out the main gym area.

My wife and daughter love the Hallmark Christmas movies. I try to be a good husband/father and watch a few with them, but it is not a pleasant experience for me. They have a stable of actors and actresses that they shuffle around, many of them had acted in older TV series from the 70s and 80s.

There is basically one plot for all these movies that has a slight change to separate them. High power executive comes to small town to close a plant or bulldoze local landmark. Gets in fight with a quaint townsperson but they end up falling in love. In the last part of the movie, something happens to spoil the relationship because of a misunderstanding, but it all gets straightened out.

There is usually a town member who looks like Santa and there is a lot of winking and secretive smiles about who this man really is. ( Could it be....Santa?). It also snows with full sunlight and nothing sticks to the ground. At the end the executive repurposes the plant/saves the historic building and takes a job in the town and all is well.

Haven't seen any of them, no specific reason other than lack of interest.

i remember taking my kids to see "Hook" many years ago. my god, it was insufferable. from approximately the same era, there "Pee Wee's Big Top" which was as awful as "Big Adventure" was an all time classic. and also...."Cabin Boy"

Those Hallmark movies seem to be very popular with women of a certain age. A friend of ours watches them nonstop this whole holiday season. It gives her comfort.

They filmed one here a few summers ago, less than a mile up the road. They made a Christmas movie in July. There were wooden frames covered with chicken wire and white foam to simulate snow. Actors wearing scarves and coats in 95 degree heat.
