Technics SL-1600MKII.

Totally bias, I have the Technics SL-1600 MKI, and MKII.

Me too.
I like mk1 better because it will shut itself off after finished playing unlike mk2.
On the other hand mk2 has quartz lock, VTA adjustment and much better tonearm.

Pioneer is nice too and very beautiful, but it is no Technics.

I have a 1600mk1 and a 1600mk2, I play the mk1 all the time and it's a great-sounding turntable, That doesn't mean I don't like the mk2, in fact, it is wonderful, but it has broken down so many times that it has become an ornament.
I wonder if it's worth getting it repaired again.
