In that case , if the internet doesn’t turn up anything then I would contact Yamaha directly and ask , they probably have this information.

I think after months of searching that the MX-A5000 was introduced for sale in February 2014

I went to try to buy a part for my MX-A5000 and was told by Yamaha 24x7 that the MX-A5000 was introduced on the market in 2008 and has been out of production for so long, parts are not available.
Well sounds like you got your answer from Yamaha then. Might be able to find parts on eBay or in Japan , HiFiDO maybe?

It appears a service manual can be downloaded on from HiFi Engine (and perhaps others).
As well, whether Yamaha still carries parts or not, with the parts list, you may find like parts or suitable subs from other sources (DigiKey, Mouser, et al.) on the presumption the problem is electrical/electronic. If you dropped it and it's physically damaged, yeah, probably then only Yamaha or a donor unit could help.

For years I have said: When I start thinking everyone watch out we are all in for a ride
At first I contacted Yamaha to get a service manual and they would not sell one to a customer, only an authorized service center. So I went on HiFi Engine and downloaded the manual. Then I found the part numbers I needed. So back to Yamaha 24x7 and input the part numbers and low and behold the items appeared, I then ordered the parts. A few days later I received a email from Yamaha that the parts were on backorder and would come from Japan in about two months. Then about a month later I received a notice that one of the critical parts had been cancelled, that is what led to contacting Yamaha 24x7 again to ask why the part was cancelled, the reply was that the unit was made in 2008 and do to it's age they no longer had parts. Thus my journey to get to the bottom of production years.

This unit has a MSRP of $3,000.00 and can be bought on EBay for around $2,000.00. I managed to purchase this a couple months ago for $400.00 knowing that it was missing the bottom panel, bottom transformer cover, feet and panel screws for the top and bottom. I did go to HiFi Engine and Yamaha 24x7 to research the parts availability prior to making the purchase. With the help of Avionic I was able to turn the unit on and clear the CPU error that had the prior owner so confused to sell the unit for the very low price. The prior owner stated he had taken these parts off the unit and could not locate them in an effort to visually see the problem, all completely unnecessary! The top cover did need to come off to access a push button to reset the CPU.

I have been a very strong fan of Yamaha Audio since working for them in the 1970's and early 80's. I still own a great deal of equipment in mint condition from that time frame. Thus my excitement to find this MX-A5000 for such a good price. I am a firm believer that all these companies in the World have lost any drive for customer service! My success in life has always been based 100% on customer service, now I am treated badly for thinking like that.
