Yamaha MX-A5000 Production

I have been a very strong fan of Yamaha Audio since working for them in the 1970's and early 80's. I still own a great deal of equipment in mint condition from that time frame. Thus my excitement to find this MX-A5000 for such a good price. I am a firm believer that all these companies in the World have lost any drive for customer service! My success in life has always been based 100% on customer service, now I am treated badly for thinking like that.

I want to take some of that back! I found Garrett at Crutchfield a few days ago and he is a World of knowledge and strives very hard for superior customer service!

I just spoke to him again and asked him about this MX-A5000 dilemma of production dates. His records show they started selling in September of 2013 and stopped in April 2019! Garrett has won my faith as a true source of knowledge and I believe him much more than Yamaha 24x7.

The next question might be the actual production date of the unit I own. LOL

Would probably require a trip to Japan and sticking my nose into the factory door, or paying a factory worker on the side to find out! LOL

My last trip to Tokyo was to visit with the World President of of Toshiba. That was a hoot and still tell some funny stories from that trip.
