    Weird power issue on this yamaha tc 720?

    I have this yamaha tc 720 and apart from all the belts having turned to mush it has a weird issue. I can't really describe it so I made a video. It seems it loses and quickly regains power every second or so. Is this due to the belts not being there or is something else going on?

    I have some used cassette tapes, mostly TDK D series. Do they have any value? If not, what is the best way to dispose of them? My best understanding is that they are not suitable for the recycle bin because of the materials used in the tape.

    TEAC 450 won’t play, ideas?

    My TEAC 450 would need to warm up before being able to play. If played without being left on for 5 minutes or so it will just pop the play button back up after 6 seconds or so. Now it won’t play at all. I replaced the belts but that made no difference. Has anyone dealt with this issue before?
