Ugh. I have an old Pioneer SX 880 that is sick and
The speaker channels are out of sync volume wise and balance must be constantly adjusted in parallel.
The Left channel has WAY more bass the the right. Probably too a fault although the right can use a little more, sounds very dry...
Hi guys,
So I promised a friend I'd take a look at her dads SA-5160, which she said had very weak FM reception, but before I can go after that, there is something more serious I need to adress:
The left channel sounds a lot quieter than the right one, and when I turn up the volume, it gets...
A few months ago I picked up a cheap Marantz 2270 - it's the model my folks had when I was growing up so I'm very fond of it and it sounded better than I was expecting...but it's starting to show its age (and price). Main issue is a loud, persistent crackling noise from the right channel -...
I got a free KR-7200 with a scratchy, intermittent right channel and some hiss. I replaced nearly all electrolytic capacitors in the entire unit (pretty much all of them were leaking). I cleaned the relay and the contact pins on the main amp board, and I replaced all the amp resistors (Rq1-4). I...
Eventual solution: Bad solder job on one replacement transistor!
Problem: Weak (barely audible) left channel.
Constant regardless of input source
Also weak channel through headphones
Work already completed:
Rebuild of Control Amp and Main Amp circuit boards
De-oxit of all pots and switches...
Hi guys
I have a problem with one of the channels. Sometimes it does not work, sometimes it does.
If, for example, it is working correctly and I activate some of the chromo, dolby, etc. switches. the right channel stops working. If I turn off the deck and turn it on again, then it works...
Hi guys,
I've spent considerable time so far trying to work out this problem before posting here. Using an oscilloscope I've traced the signal loss through to the MFC PC Board on the amp. When tracing the signal off this board there is a right signal but no left signal.
Numbers 21, 22, 23 and...
Hi guys,
I bought a PM7200 amp today for $30 and the right channel doesn't work. I think the problem is in the power amp so I've pulled it apart.
Any direction on what to test and what to look for?
Cheers,
Homer
I figured I might post this here, though I also submitted to the Beoworld forum (but haven't heard anything yet - cf. http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/t/26308.aspx)
I wanted to pick your brains about a tape deck I have, the Beocord 2400: https://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=945...
Hello,
I'm new in the whole vinyl thing and bought myself a lenco L65 with HEA9000 amp at a local garage sale for 40 euro's.
Everything was working fine for a few weeks but now I have a problem with the right channel.
The right channel is super silent and it's on all the inputs (phono, FM...
Hi! I'm first time here, so please let me know if I'm doing something wrong!
I'm looking for some help on an issue my Pioneer SX-750 has developed recently. The left channel has a problem audible, while the right channel seems to be fine.
The issue I can hear on the left channel I can describe...
hello, i have a 2230 with a bad amp, i already change all the bad transistors and other parts, by the way all the transistors except the input one was toasted, both 1n60 diodes, sv-3a diode, emitter resistors, and at least 7 miscelaneus resistors were toasted or open, all electrolitcs are new...
Hi!
I have the impression that the right channel plays harder than the left. I measured the voltage at the headphone output and it turned out that the right channel has 332mV and left 321mV. These values shouldn't be equal? Can I somehow adjust that?
Hey everybody, I've wanted to get into the vintage 2 channel game for a long time to see what I've been missing (I've always used modern AV receivers) and I found a Sony TA-E77ESD for a decent price at a pawn shop yesterday. I'm a huge Sony fan and love ES gear, so I was excited. Unfortunately...
I recently bought a MC250 amplifier and C28 pre from an estate sale and it had been working great up to a week ago. The only repairs it needed was some deoxit in the balance pot and volume pot, but with that done I began to hear a buzz coming from the right channel. It is only in the phono 1...
Working on a really nice unit right now, Sansui 800, cosmetically very clean, all bulbs light up, everything seems to be great EXCEPT the left channel is very quiet and lacking bass compared to the right.
I have THOROUGHLY cleaned all the knobs and switches on the face plate, checked for poor...
