Hello Everyone,
Got a pair of EV-16s in good working condition. Cabinets in wonderful shape, no dings, knocks, scratches, etc. Grills are also in great shape.
One of the speakers "suffered" during shipping and the mid driver came out, practically was hanging by 2 screws, and the tweeter was...
Hi, I saw a single aristocrat cabinet down at the local thrift shop and was wondering if anyone knows whether or not the cabinet would make for a decent subwoofer enclosure. If so then I'll go back and pick it up..
Thanks
.
Hi all,
I have a lovely pair of interface D's that is part of a DJ/listening setup that i'm interested in getting a more suitable amp for. I'm using a Xone 92 as a "pre-amp" and this cheapo Sony receiver for power and the receiver is starting to give out. I listen to a fairly broad range of...
I was able to pick these EV speakers (Low Resonance Ultra Compact System) yesterday for a mere $25. Cabinets need to be re-veneered, new seal tape(?) applied and one cabinet has water damage on the bottom to where some layers of plywood has peeled way over the years. That issue may be a...
I have a pair of vintage well built speaker cabinets that were made to close specs of a similar Altec cabinet. Currently, the cabinets are loaded with a Full-range Coaxial 15" type Stromberg-Carlson speakers from the early 1960's (chrome frames, red cones). Unfortunately, I blew one of...
Hanging out in Baltimore this week and spotted this on the local Craigslist (no affiliation):

Looks like a beautiful EV Aristocrat cabinet with a Stromberg-Carlson 15" coaxial driver. Perfect for a low-power mono...
My home office nook has a sound system built around a low-power, monophonic Stromberg-Carlson amplifier (AR415) and SC tuner. In addition to the tuner the only other source is the computer workstation, which sends USB output to a Schiit Bifrost. The two channels of the Schiit are combined by a...
Happy Holidays all!
These EV's were my late fathers and I've tried at least six receivers of varying age/wattage/brand as well as a Yamaha integrated, and nothing seems to get those 15's making the noise their size suggests they should.
I had the x-overs rebuilt with all totl caps and such...
Hi all!
Just got a pair of these speakers and they sound incredible. I have yet to hook up the included eq because they're broken at the moment but I'm curious how it affects the bass production. At the moment they sound fantastic without them but its very noticeable that the bass is a bit...
These are Electro voice speaker cabinets put together by my Dad, early '50s. But I think they may be JBL speakers. Does anyone know for sure? There is a knob in the presence position labeled JBL.
Hi all,
I got these horns in a trade. They both work well and are in pretty good cosmetic shape with the mounting brackets. I can't seem to find this exact combo anywhere.
While I am waiting for the surrounds for the Altec Santiagos, and it being too hot to deal with the cabinets for now out in the garage, I lost my patience with those big black EV's staring at me from the hoard of speakers that are taking up my parking space.
These are the black pro version I...
Hi all, in my place there is on sale a pair of vintage Electro Voice Interface B Series II with 12" passive radiators and 8" woofers. the condition is ok, but the equalizer unit is missing. I'd like to know if the lacking of the equalizer a huge negative to the sound? or what kind of amp should...

Okay so why doesn't any sound come out of the speaker?
3 x EV T35B
2 x EV T35
These tweeters all need new diaphragms and I found a aftermarket replacement on eBay. I have never replaced a diaphragm in a tweeter before and just need some pointers and if there is anything I need to know before I do it.
Thanks in advance
I recently purchased 3 early 1960's Electro-Voice model Sentry II monitor speakers and I am having issues with the tweeters cutting in and out. Each cabinet has a EV SP12B and EV T35B tweeter with a crossover. I originally figured the tweeters where blown, but after playing one of the speakers...
Not mine, and I have no affiliation with this sale.
I just did some quick reading and it looks like these are really well liked. I emailed him just out of curiosity to ask if he had the SEQ, I am not terribly interested, though.
From the ad -
"Listed for sale is a vintage pair of E/V Sentry...
