I like the Freudian mistress → mattress.I read what I want to see is mundane,
More exciting explanation is cosmic ray flipped a couple neurons or a leak over of me existing in another dimension![]()
Yeah, but watch out for those soft covered Jungian springs below the surface.I like the Freudian mistress → mattress.

Official Notice #16547-67
AI will cause a steady rise in divorce and suicide rates.
Have you seen "Her" or "Companion"?An AI girlfriend for just $6.99/mo.(when purchased on the yearly plan) provides one of the most economical poison pills in history. The boys up in the 13th floor fortress room have also enabled 24-hour gambling over the telephone. Sit back and just wait for the fireworks to begin.

Your talking about movies, right? No, I never see new movies. But, I have heard or read comments about them.Have you seen "Her" or "Companion"?
I haven't, but either may be an interesting view over the long weekend.

Well, I hope not to be divorced in the near future (or any future). However, I have all my talking AIs set to soothing female voices.Your talking about movies, right? No, I never see new movies. But, I have heard or read comments about them.
Based on my recent few months experience with AIs solving tech problems, and experiencing first hand how quickly I reacted and treated them as though I was talking to a friend, and seeing how they lavished me with hyper-encouraging pep talks, I'm confident that AI "friends" absolutely will provide a safe haven for people wanting a divorce but needing something safe to lean on in the transition.
Just being exposed for a few weeks to all that praise and attention and approval is a startling experience. It is so pointed, and realistic, you have to catch your self from simply falling into belief. I have been blown away by this technology and how far it has already come.
It will be OK as long as the person has a bullshit filter. Right. Mostly everyone is now familiarized with "talking by typing" as you and I are doing now. I have no doubt you are human---even though everyone on this forum could be a computer simulation very easily just using common technology. It will be OK as long as the person has a bullshit filter. I even say "Thanks, Siri!" And sometimes it/she says, "You're welcome!"I was surprised by how easily I treated the AI with the same attitude as I treat people here. Sort of..... I mean it was easy to enjoy the process. Kinda scary.
I don't need any of this method. My wallet tells me all the time that I can't afford it, don't touch, and move onI even say "Thanks, Siri!" And sometimes it/she says, "You're welcome!"
BTW... I call all the AI gizmos "Siri."

I intuitively replaced 'she' with it following 'For example'. Seductive is the operational word. In the context of 'she', I find it repulsive.I've been using Co-Pilot. I'm intrigued by the constant supportive tone in all the answers. For example, she will start a complex set of fix it instructions with: "Mark, you got this! Just follow the steps exactly, and you'll be back in business quickly! You've already done the hard part!"
Before I had any experience using this, I would have guessed it would be dry and factual---boring. It's scary how seductive it is.
The "rulers" by any name you choose are ALWAYS the beneficiaries of technology. The lives of the sheep are always, and will always be, in the hands of the herders. And, for 7,000 years, technology has been the go-to tool of control. The reason is not complicated. Technology is the best tool for extracting excess labor value. Without it, there could be no trillionaires, kings, tsars, POTUSI, bosses. Fire, lever, wheel, printing press, steam engine, telephone, Internet, AI--- it's all one single process of extortion.Like all aspects of shared information, it isn't the manner nor how change is brought about...it's the why part that really concerns me! And who really benefits in the end!
