Researchers from computer security start-up Hacktron got inside the company’s systems with help from the Claude chatbot made by OpenAI’s primary rival, Anthropic. After first targeting a public-facing messaging board they were able to access OpenAI’s private systems, including some of the AI company’s internal code, according to posts on X late Thursday by Hacktron describing the campaign."
At least this group alerted OpenAI to the vulnerability. But what about.... ?

An interesting lecture I heard this am, had this synopsis to offer about AI.
It is going to lead to the largest DEFLATIONARY cycle in human history. Our mountains of CARGO will be produced at such little cost it will seem almost free. His claim was based on the massive deflation that took place from 1875 to about 1896. Prices fell by 30% or more due to the efficiencies of industrialization. It was good for consumers, but horrible for debtors. They had to repay loans in dollars that had risen wildly in purchasing power.
If you took all the labor out of making a car......all the labor out of making the steel and rubber, and electronics....I think the cost could easily fall by 30%.
So we end up with cars, steel, rubber, electronics and more that no-one can afford because autoworkers have been replaced and now have no income. Steelworkers gave been replaced and have no income. Rubber workers have been replaced and have no income. Electronics workers have been replaced and have no income. The other workers whose jobs depended on the autowokers, the steelworkers, the rubber workers, the electronics workers spending their now non-existant incomes also fall by the wayside.

Everyone will be given plenty of "money." The cost of "money" is nil.
Ever tried repaying a bank loan with Monopoly money?
Do you realize how many lumberjacks chainsaws drove into unemployment? Or with the invention of cement and rebar what happened to all the stone cutters?
I still drive by the slum comprised of former Buggywhip and Conestoga wagon builders.
Don’t even get me started about all the unfortunate farmworkers that combines have put into the welfare zone.
Not to mention all the auto assembly workers who the robots have already put out of business.
Wooden ship builders, sail makers, steam engine builders, mule, team drivers, manual type printers, sundial makers, hourglass, makers, manual watch builders, cathode Ray tube manufacturers…. The list is endless if someone pays attention to how things change.
We’ve had Chicken Littles opining the loss of every job ever as industry has moved forward. One sad thing seems to be people think their own prime age is the age that should be preserved for all time.
That was cement replacing stone. Jobs lost to stonecutting were placed by cement working. Horsedrawn vehicle manufacturing with car manufacturing. Steam engine builders by Diesel engine builders. Wooden ship builder by steel ship builders.
The next revolution is the replacement of Human Labour.
Farmers depend upon people who eat. Machine replacement doesn't need farmers anymore, at least not human farmers. The next revolution is not like replacing human made technology with another human made technology. The next industrial revolution is replacing the human economy.

However there is no dispute that both robots and AI are replacing the human factor to some degree or another.

I'm sure that's accurate. But, it hasn't been insignificant in the US auto biz.
We lost 1.7 million jobs in autos to automation.
Anybody ever notice how many fortune tellers there are?
