Terry Allen - Lubbock (on everything)
1979 - Fate Records / 1995 Sugar Hill

Amazing lyrics and well-recorded.

Eric Johnson - Ah Via Musicom
Rush - Power Windows
Deep Purple - Perfect Strangers
Yes - 90125
Iron Maiden - Powerslave
Motley Crue - Shout at the Devil
Genesis - Genesis

I remember the first time I heard Eric Johnson's High Landrons on the radio, I was blown away and was like who is this guy and what's the name of the release?

Many good choices here, too many.

There are some albums that I saw as much more than just a collection of songs, one was "Tommy" by the Who.

After listening to it many years ago, it hit me that this was a song about all of us, how we're blinded and tormented by other people, how we are held back and trapped by materialism and cruelty.

Deafness and blindness are metaphors for what we all go through, and how we are held back spiritually during our time on earth.

A similar epiphany while listening to "Days of Future Passed"....an entire lifetime portrayed by a single day, such brilliance.

These albums and others are like great literature, only set to music....some soar pretty high.

Were these epiphanies chemically inspired by any chance?
