Any one deal with LP Gear?

yep, LPGear is a great place to go. Fast ship, really good service and you can order right off their web site. Have ordered 4 carts and 5 stylus replacements from them. Very happy with all purchases made.

Good to order from if you know what you need/want, don't count on them replying to questions or anything. They ship right away.

Have used them many times. Never any problem with an order - BUT, like all aftermarket belt vendors, the belt sizes tend to err on the tight side, which can give certain mechanisms trouble.

I ordered a new cartridge from them January 4th. I didn't receive any shipping confirmation/tracking number until after received the cartridge ten days later. I understand the USPS is F'd up right now but there is no excuse for not letting me know it was shipped. Not sure if I'll use them again...

Just ordered a D6800EEE JICO from them yesterday, they sent a tracking number immediately and it has already left the first postal facility.

Have no clue how long it will take to get here but that was super fast initial shipping....

I beg to differ. I ordered stuff from them before and it was alright. My last order from them took 8-9 days to proceed (Jan 12th to Jan 20th) before being shipped. I had to email them and they replied saying that Covid-19 is the reason why they took 8 days to put the parts I ordered in a box and ship it.

I would probably buy from them again, but only if other stores don't have what I need.

I have ordered from them several years ago. Very satisfied. As I recall, it was some stylii and maybe headshells.

I bought a stylus from them about a month ago. It did take a few days for it to ship but it didn't take any longer than other vendors to arrive. I've noticed on many items that it says "awaiting item" from USPS even when you have a tracking number. This is the first time I bought from them but I'm satisfied.

Ordered a Jico stylus from them online and waited to receive it, only to get a note about a week or so later that it was out of stock and wanting to know if I wanted to continue waiting or cancel the order. I responded back asking them to cancel, but they didn't credit my account for the charge (they processed the payment immediately which is a little weird for an out of stock product). I had to send a note to Paypal asking them to reverse the charge, which they did.

I wound up ordering the same thing directly from Jico in Japan which turned out to be a lot easier than dealing with LP Gear. They might be ok for ordering things they actually have in stock but it would be a place that I would avoid in the future.

Not too many vendors are this consistent in being inconsistent for 11 years! I have bought from them and yes their comms are spotty.

I ordered a stylus on the 18th. Nothing other than the money taken from my account. So I sent a message on the 22nd asking what the status was. Got an e-mail they were short staffed and 9 days behind on orders. Then hours later an e-mail stating it had shipped but no information when checking with tracking number provided.

Not happy and unlikely I'll order from them again. The delay is annoying but tolerable but the lack of communication is not. Especially when they take the money immediately. Seem to have the staff for that.

Seems unreasonably demanding, especially in these times.

Very strange, right?

I’ve made a few purchases over the years with no complaints. I’ve also emailed a few times asking questions about something or other and got a response in less than a day.
I’m planning on buying a few things soon, hopefully my luck holds up.

As a customer yes I am demanding. It's my money and I chose to spend it with them instead of going local............to avoid my being exposed to Covid19 AGAIN. Communication is paramount. Why is it unreasonable to expect being informed when something out of the ordinary is encountered? A simple note, call or notice on the website would have been acceptable to me. When asking for my patronage in this extremely competitive market the extra mile isn't too much.

And yes my customers are treated as I expect others to treat me. My work is with high end vehicles and my customers are.........well picky bastards works. But when asking for your support going the distance should be the order of the day.
