I looked all over the net and couldnt find ANY under the hood pics. Should either of you be willing to pop the cover off and snap pics I know I and many others here would love some pics.
Made me look at the bay for any units. Found 2 completed sales at very different prices and I can understand why one followed the other LOL.
Any idea how many output devices it uses per ch?
I also love the clip lights. A must for a big power amp IMO. What does Term Overload represent? Protect?
For brute power with all the finesse I could ask for I have a stable of these crest amps that have been rebuilt.
This one is rated at 200 at 8 ohms. And theres another row of output transistors on the bottom on the heat sink. Yup 10 per ch.
Im perfectly happy using affordable pro gear from the 80s. Owned many home counterparts. Sounded fine. Just short of a loud / failing fan (easily replaceable with a quality silent modern fan) I never had any reason to feel I was missing anything.
Looks are clearly an understandable deal breaker for many. I get it.
Those amps are works of artTwo other 80’s powerhouses in the more than 200 watt output range per channel.

Updated! My original list was what I know about. But doubt a Crown but would beat a Pioneer M-91. Just saying.
Then you are looking at the wrong Crowns.
