In your opinion, what is the most best looking amplifier/receiver ever made?
could be interesting... Posting a photo also would be nice :)
Cheers.

I really like the Sony Receivers from the 70's.

It's not high-end and not the best looking piece of gear ever (I guess), and while I agree that you can never have enough needles bouncing around, I love the simple design of my STR-6046:

(not my pics though)

I believe it's the pioneer sa 9800
with its blue light just gorgeous.

I don't have this but I just love the Pioneer Spec 1,2 series myself:)

Well i'm very proud to have the Sa8500II , and looking for more power!
was thinking about having the spec 2 and using the 8500ii as pre-amp/
BUT some people said they won't fit!
Is that true?

I always liked the look of my Marantz 2500 but I eventually sold it anyway and kept my 4400. Both look and sound great.

As for amps it has to be McIntosh, a toss up between the MC275 or one of the blue faced transistor amps. They all look awesome..

Just to let you know, there are several threads already on this topic. Find one, and you can spend hours looking at all the beauties!

There was an AK'er that found one of those the other day-it was being used as a COFFEE TABLE BASE!!

I like the look of the Monster Sansui receivers although I've never owned one.

Of the ones I've owned I'll go with the Realistic STA-2080.

Speaking of my STA-2080 :) It needs some work...

This thread has been done before, but I would argue it's either the Yamaha CA-2010. It's design is so timeless than Yamaha has put out a new line which is almost indiscernible from the late 70's stuff.

I would also argue that the Euro black-faced (or BlackSilver) pioneer receivers, such as my SX-5570 :) ) as some of most beautiful ever made.
