Commercials You Hate

^Struck a nerve, ah? :rflmao:
In a perfect world, one would never require this:
Try some head-on:

OTB, Is that an current example of what I haven`t ever seen, because I refuse to watch any commercial TV for almost 15 yrs. now !

That YouTube HeadOn commercial was vile, and I will continue to feel very sorry for the hapless folks who subject themselves, especially those paying for sat. or cable for the frequent assault of that and similar crap..

Talk about an incentive for me to keep on buying, collecting and viewing select BR/DVD movies, documentaries, and sitcoms here at the Ferris residence !

That HeadOn is an older one, but it was quite annoying. Much worse is the previous one that I posted.

Follow the red brick road. ;)

NO I don`t think I will watch any more vile commercial S#it Thank you very much anyway, Sir; as it`s too early to start even thinking about drinking any leftover hurricane libations, even for my re/tired/tarded lifestyle !
Wise choice my friend, wise choice. No reason to etch it into your memory.

I truly have no issues with commercials. Products need to be advertised (it effects people putting food on the table) TV/Radio/free Streaming/print or any media needs to be paid for somehow, its the nature of the beast and it effects to many people'snot to do it. What bugs me is how stupid humans have become, why do I think that, because commercials work the way they are doing them or they wouldn't be like that, they would be doing them different.

So we half ass pay attention to them and make fun of the bads ones, the demographic targeting at certain times and on certian networks and the people that are being sucked in. It's been a good look at all the EV's everyone is introducing though.

Edit: and we make fun of ourselves also... "damn, that one almost sucked me in for a minute"

Not at all. One of the best tools for fighting discrimination is discussion. As I mentioned I work with a lot of fellow middle aged white dudes (50-75) and being the "boss" I hold equal opportunity/discrimination training on the spot when they start spewing BS like this. One observation I find funny from dealing with these guys (and most others of the same mind set) is they are the first to preach about individual freedoms/rights yet have no problem trying to deny them to entire groups of people... the hypocrisy amazes me sometimes.

I had forgotten about that Head On commercial, made for a good chuckle this morning :)

Its, a commercial and no one here was doing anything like that so chill with the grandstanding.

Sadly, I must agree, as vapid as a lot of today's advertising is, it's very existence proves that it's working.

Well, I never did have "Nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea" all at the same time till I heard the inane Pepto Dismol jingle for the millionth time......

Why?
(it effects people putting food on the table)
If you make something that does not sell itself, you better make something else.
TV/Radio/free Streaming/print or any media needs to be paid for somehow
Subscription or tax. It is sad to see Netflix caving, coming up with cheaper subscription aided by ads. Ugh.

Bismol, from Bismuth subsalicylate.

Really... I will spell it out in big letter for you
That is how it works
Um, for whom? I've never bought anything after seeing an ad. As for "this is how it works", I mentioned subscription or tax. Does not have to work this way. There are no ads on the BBC. As for the goods, when you need something, you'll start looking for it. I don't care about car ads if I don't need a car. Selling something people don't need is wrong, in general. It just causes useless consumption of resources and energy.
