Cool American military planes.

IMO, the B-1B Lancer is pure Awesomeness.

Shoot, I was in a drill hall and one flew over and I thought the building was coming apart.
I thought one was going to land in my Z28 . Hurlburt Fields end of runway is right next to highway 98 on commando boulevard. A Lancer was on approach and crossed over head for a touch and go. I had the T-tops off and it scared the piss out of me.

Another couple of KEWL older planes are the B-17 & the B-29/50. They BOTH were fragile as all hell, typically were overloaded way beyond what they should have been expected to carry/take off with, & on many missions USAAF losses were way over 100%.. "The Greatest Generation"-Yeah, I'd say so. How they got ANYBODY foolish enuf to go up in one of those flimsy coffins is unbelievable.

Definitely.. Flying over head at very low level with the wings swept back fully augmented. Frick'n awesome. During war games at Eglin. Lancers and Spirits would fly over low simulating and attack on our base.
This was the first video I streamed when I hooked up my bass shaker and shook things up a bit...

used to live at Ft.Dix in 69 to 71 and I remember dad would take us to range road and park so we could watch the F-4s and B-52s take off and land at Mcguire afb, but one of my most awesome memories was sometime in the late 80s the wife and I were driving near what is now atlantic city airport when I heard what I thought was the loudest props I ever heard and it seemed like the sun was blocked out stuck my head out the window to look up and was shocked to see a B29 flying over the top of us. it was the fifi and she was so low I thought I could reach out and touch her. man what a sight and sound! still I was and will always be a B17 flying Fortress guy. Loved 12 o'clock high the tv series
