Yes when the the speakers to component combination dictates it to my preference. My (regular gear) doesn’t have tone controls or a loudness switch on either set up.

I use it when I turn my sub amp off. I have a passive xover on my mains, a capacitor. I turn it off after 10 pm. I have a 3 channel amp, dvc 12" on one side 10" single on the other. My receiver is old school and has pre out.

No. I tend to go for a speaker/amp combo that sounds good at low volume without resorting to those. When I had a Sherwood amp and AR speakers in the 1960's, I did.

Rarely .. sometimes while streaming. Some albums that were mastered during the 90's (loudness wars were prevalent) can benefit from a slight loudness knob adjustment on my Yamaha AS 501.

I don't use the loudness and don't play music loud. Lots of listening around 60db. I much prefer the neutral sound of my Monitor Audios over my warmer Elacs.

No loudness and no use to me in even having it as an option. No tone adjustments either but that said I don't really mind them being there, even the midrange on Marantz. If I ever strayed it would most likely be within the 11-1 o'clock range to straighten out some old cassette, but for some neurotic reason even that much kind of bugs me.

I run flat too. I can never get my Yamaha tone controls to sound good and if I adjust them I get indecisive haha!

^^ isn't that the truth.. best just leave it to the eq in the brain..

Only desired, and used on two receivers in 2 different rooms of my house, for all day background WAV. ripped music, because their SPL`s are roughly run at around conversational level, and by doing so, balance`s out the tonality of the garage, and spare bedroom that I have these receivers in, even with passive RS dual voice coil 12" ported sub woofers in use, and the bass is not boomy with the loudness engaged, or I wouldn`t turn it on.

I feel that I`m using the receiver`s loudness button, in the manner/reason for which it was originally created and the sound is much fuller for it.

All the rest of my house`s room`s sound system`s don`t require loudness to be engaged, as they utilize much better, & bigger speakers/powered subwoofers + a lot more total wattage is available, and when their turned on & used it`s not for background music purposes..

This is my tiny 1979 Dual "CV 450M" amplifier, 25 WPC, performing with Bose "205" speakers in my bedroom. In low mode, the loudness feature is indispensable.

Don't have it and really don't feel I have a need for it however, I would possibly use it at low volume level if I did have it.

Depends on the gear really. Some receivers I don't like the way its implemented. Others I use it on, such as my Yamaha receivers. I like the way the loudness is done on their receivers. Actually, I don't do any critical listening with receivers so It's not a big deal. If I do use it, it's at lower volume like it's designed for.
