Favorite Bourbon

I'm curious to know how you like the Barton (Kirkland) BiB.
These are my 3rd and 4th bottles of the Kirkland BIB. At 100 proof and a 1 liter bottle, @ $28, what’s not to like? I prefer wheat bourbons but given the prices and scarcity of Weller etc, Rye bourbons it is. This bottle is a killer QPR, quality to price ratio.

I'm liking a small batch bourbon from Black Button distilling in New York. It might be the best bourbon I've ever had.
I don’t recognize the name but that is not surprising given the explosion in popularity of bourbon over the last decade or so. This was my first visit to a Total Wine store and the selection was overwhelming.

While I haven't had Kirtland's BIB, if it is Barton's and inexpensive, I think Barton's is one of the best inexpensive bourbons available. If suspect you may agree if you can source Barton's in your state or travels. Same comment apply to Evan Williams....

Other favorite bourbons (if you're lucky enough to source and have similar tastes): Elmer T. Lee, Rock Hill Farms, Basil Hayden's Dark Rye, Jefferson Reserve Groth, A Midwinter Nights Dram, Isaac Bowman (mentioned above). We luv using Legent (finished in wine casks) to make bourbon drinks.

Read good things about the following (never tasted): Russell’s Reserve Single Barrel and Bowman Brothers Virginia Bourbon Whiskey.

Intentionally omitted the usual, hard to source bourbons (e.g., Papa's, Blanton's)....

I was curious about the Kirkland BiB as I've had and liked other Barton products, and I'm a fan of BiB whiskeys in general.
Standard Russell's Reserve 10 year is pretty darn good, I would imagine the single barrel to be great.

Russell's Reserve Single Barrel is terrific, but certainly not for the faint of heart. I'm unabashed fan of all of Wild Turkey's products and RRSB is the top of the heap. WT101 is my everyday sipper and I think it's perhaps the best bang for your buck of all bourbons. It is very robust and full-flavored though not likely to please those looking for a smooth, mild sipper.

Fully agreed on the WT. As a big WT101 fan myself, I'm going to have to take your recommendation and try the Russell!

You know what? I was in a new bar not long ago and before my order was taken I had a chance to look up at the "premium shelf" and noticed there was no Wild Turkey ("Oh, one of THOSE places", I said to myself). So, I thought I'd ask anyways and the answer was, indeed, "no".

Then she said, "Is Wild Turkey still a thing?"

Which stumped me because I typically don't go for "things". I didn't know WT had a "fad life".

A lot of people still view Wild Turkey 101 as a cheap, strong bourbon of dubious quality intended for college kids or other such rowdies. I like it better than a bunch of other bourbons, even most bourbons, at twice the price.

Not so much a bourbon but these 2 came from a local, private estate sale. The deceased owned a liquor store and had quite the collection in their bar

most of the bourbon was Jim Beam so I passed on that but these 2 bottles we’re interesting enough to purchase.

Both date to the mid 1950s so I’m curious to see how they taste
