Favorite Bourbon

I have 2 bottles of the 1897 Bottled In Bond in my cabinet right now. My favorite 100 proof at this time.

I like these. I've enjoyed the 1920 and this 1910 and I have an 1870 in the cabinet I haven't pulled the cork from yet. I'll keep two eyes open for an 1897. Don't remember trying it yet but, of course that means nothin'.

Been working on an amazing bottle of Widow Jane for a few weeks. Picked up this bottle a few years back. Bottle #1 off the barrel. Bottled in 2017, aged 10 years. Stuff has been fantastic.

I’ve got about half the bottle left so I’ve been taking a few sips on the weekends in the evening. You can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be picking up more. :)

I too have been keeping an eye out for them, target had them for a while but they sale out fast. It’s a quality bourbon for a good price. To me is holiday bourbon. Reminds me of Christmas in a glass if ya ask me lol. The the 1920 is the 1st one I found. That bottle didn’t last long.

Not sure if if your into beer or not, but a Samuel Smith Imperial Stout is an amazing side to the 1920.

From time to time I'll have some beer. A local brewery, Tyranena, has local bands all summer long Fridays and Saturdays. Very good beers.

Started an Infinity bottle going. So far I have 2 ounces each of the following: Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace, Weller Antique, Four Roses Single Barrel, 1792 Single Batch, Evan Williams Single Barrel and Blanton’s. Very good nose and taste.

Not quite sure what an Infinity Bottle is. Are you mixing these fine bourbons together in the decanter? I've not heard this.

One of my favorites, is Evan Williams Single Barrel for a bourbon that punches way above it's weight class. The bummer is, they just announced it will NOT be available anywhere now outside of the state of Kentucky. I'm seriously bummed.

That said, I have an unopened bottle of Blantons single barrel in my cabinet right now and personally I would never even consider mixing it with Evan Williams SB.

Dude... good to see you!

Cheers

I have always wanted to try a bottle of Woodford Reserve. I haven't found a reason to stray too far away from Makers Mark. Although I did receive a bottle of Old Forrester for Christmas last year. It too was enjoyable.

I know taste is subjective and all, but for me, the best reason to stray from MM is that there are so many much better whiskeys out there. Of course, most of the good ones are at a higher price point, but I never consider price when finding a great whiskey. Try Knob Creek small batch. Not expensive and very good flavors to explore.
