Anyone ever tried flattening a warped LP and actually succeeded--even partially? If yes, how'd you do it?

If you've already searched, then you'll have run into the method of putting the LP between two thick plates of glass and letting it warm up in the sun. I don't recall the particulars of how long, etc., but I have done that in the past with a couple LPs that went from 'too warped to play' to 'playable' but still had some warp in them.
I would hope the above product has a lot more control over the process than the one I used.

I ran out to Home Depot and bought (2) highly polished 12" square marble tiles (for a whopping $3.48 each). I scrubbed the tiles to remove any dust and dried them completely.
I gave an LP a good scrubbing and vacuumed it dry. After pre-heating my oven to 175 degrees, I sandwiched the LP between the 2 marble tiles, and baked it for 30 minutes @ 175 degrees. After 30 minutes, I turned off the oven and opened the door until cool.
Assuming the label isn't thicker than the outer lip, this method has worked well for me. YMMV. I've seen some claim this process completely melted their LPs...I've not had this problem.

Cut two rounds of elm perfectly square. Place in 20 ton wood splitter with LP between them. Pull the lever.:thumbsdn:

I recall one of our regular posters tried the glass-in-the-sun technique a while back, with no success. You can probably find the thread. I like the idea of the tiles-in-the-oven trick -- sounds like the same priniciple as the Furutech, but $2000 cheaper...
I will say that I threw a warped album (in its jacket) underneath a heavy box of records, and left it there for a few months, hoping. Pulled it out a couple of weeks ago, and it was still warped.:tears:
