Gin and Tonic anyone?

I sometimes miss drinking alcohol. Usually in the summer when I would come home after a long hot day, and drink a few G&T's. Preferred that to Beer.

Always did Tanqueray, but my eyes have been opened from this thread. I do keep alcohol at home for guests. Should I refuse to serve them Gin Tonic in the winter months?

A good host does what he can to make his guests comfortable. As a drinker, I'm a lightweight. I usually stop at one, sometimes two.
A little story. Last summer, I was at my favorite bar; Ruby's on the Coney Island boardwalk and I asked for a Gin and Tonic. The bartender, who has known me for years and had never had me order one, asked if I wanted a lemon peel in it. I looked him straight in the eye and told him "If I want lemonade, I'll ask for it!" I drank free the rest of the afternoon because I made him laugh so hard.

Not so. It can also be served whist wearing sandals as long as no socks are involved.

In colder months I'd much prefer a scotch & tonic.
Provided, of course that I have some fair-to-middling blended scotch on hand.

hmm, i dunno. though i never had it with tonic, drinking a bottle of it had me sick for nearly two days...it was cheap and i had just enough for a fifth...interesting high though, i will give it that much.
