Infinity RS series Polydome Mid ohms load

See a lot of Kappa-Polydome numbers but nothing for the RS series. Anyone know the ohms load from the RS Polydome? Just checking, doing some math, maybe building a speaker.

When I replaced the crossovers in my RS4b the woofers measured 4.1 ohms, polydome mids 3.8 ohms, tweeters 4.5-- power hungry little buggers that would send my 200WPC Onkyo M-508 into protection quite easily.

I hear ya. I ended up passive bi-amping my RS IIIa's because they burned up everything they came in touch with over the last 30+ years. Infinity's love their power and headroom so now I have 2 channels at 250watts each feeding one speaker. For the first time ever, there is no worry of an overload or something going into protection and they never sounded better.
Your numbers are interesting and thank you. Did you come up with a ohms number at the speaker binding posts? My RSIIIa's crossovers are pretty simple and pretty much everything is separated out (woofers, mids, tweeter) on the board. Bringing everything together at the speaker posts basically all in parallel like it does should drop those ohms loads pretty low but then the woofers are wired in series making them an 8 ohm load. And then there is the crossover it's self....
 
I used an ohm meter on the speakers by themselves, no wiring hooked up. I believe that since the woofers are wired in series their ohm load becomes closer to 8 than 4, but I may be out to lunch on that ! If I had to venture a guess, I would say the ohm load for the entire speaker drops down around 3 ohms at some frequencies. (My "8 ohm" Monitor Audio Silver 500's drop down to 3.2 ohms and also sent the M508 into protection if I played them too loud).
I'm using a 300WPC Parasound A21+ to power the RS4b and they sound better than they ever have and they don't phase the A21+ at all (that amp is a beast).
