[NH-MAN]

Where do you live that you can go out in the country and pick produce?

Even in NH there are farms that hire people to pick and maintain crops, where do you live where they don't?

Yes, but not to sell to the general public out in the field.

[NH-MAN]

Yes, but not to sell to the general public out in the field.

The poster was meaning its not like people out of work sought out other work like picking crops for money. They just expected a check to come in the mail to bail them out.

My mistake. I read it wrong. I totally agree.

Today in the news, we were told there are now only 370 right whales left in the North Atlantic. Astronomers also have discovered a good number of "superhabitable" planets. The only issue is they are all over 100 light years away. We will need to discover di-lithium crystals used for travel soon.

[peterp1]

Is humanity doomed? ...

Wait, a minute. You're saying we still have humanity???

[Beatnik]

I bet there is di-lithium crystals on the moon.

[KingBubba]

Yeah, I remember laughter, but it has been hard to come up with recently. Maybe next week.

Doom and Gloom won't last forever. The post Roman dark age wasn't that long in geological time

There's a lady who's sure...

[fredgarvin]

Once the herd is fully culled we can get our Elon Musk brain implants and move on.

[peterp1]

There's a lady who's sure...

Exactly!!! Except I'm not so sure she's still sure. Because it seems like there's a bustle in our hedgerow, every single day -- sometimes several. Frankly, it's very difficult not to be alarmed now.

[Beatnik]

We are all brains floating in jars, it's just a bad dream.

[Mystic]

We are all brains floating in jars, it's just a bad dream.

I find this appealing.

Here's what my jar would say:

[Beatnik]

I think mine is cracked.
