Truthfully......
There are many variables that increase the overly toxic build up in the environment, but none like overpopulation. As far as what we are seeing on the media......there are many variables that has changed over the years that has caused many to feel insecure. Greed from those that hold powerful control has cost many jobs to leave the country and many people to become additional residents. Increased poverty has caused serious social disruption that has lead to many disturbing conditions that includes non-violent offenders being put behind bars. The reaction from most of the population to most situations has been severe reactions no matter the situation. Fueled by a direct lack of knowledge or ignoring the facts.
Id take @botrytis word...From a purely evolutionary perspective, mammals tend to evolve into something else or go extinct in what would be short geologic time. Humans have the unique capacity to delay or hasten this evolution. One possible outcome is that humans have conquered disease and increased life span so much so that the planet becomes over populated and runs out of resources. Ah, the irony of progress. We are the ultimate cockroach. Matter what we do to ourselves and our planet, some will survive.
No need to bold or to shout. What is your point?
Knowledge is disputable.
"We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when, but I know we'll meet again, some sunny day.......Remember THAT one ?!?
I blamed someone...? Don't answer... I get it.No cause it violates this
I'm thinking you didn't mean to shout that... not the kind of thing one shouts. I remember hearing that ignorance is always arrogant... and the more I thought about it the more sense it made. It was years ago that I heard it. That is, in application of having the illusion of knowledge... not a simple matter of not being aware.Id take @botrytis word...
"The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge."
I can see the logic here, but do you advocate some kind of solution or just believe we should let nature take it's course and the Earth will self correct - even if humanity is a casualty?Truthfully......

I would opine that you have overlooked rats.I am certain that there will be 3 species proliferating and prospering on our poor Earth.
Cockroaches,
Assholes,
and
Idiots.
Choose your own proportions.
Cheers,
James

It's curious how many ignore the true elephant in the room.
Where i live the background radiation was around 1cpm circa 1970, that increased to 6 or 7cpm after the Chernobyl incident, and averages 15+ cpm today.

People have been predicting the end of the world for as long as anyone can remember. Today, it's mostly about fear. Fear makes people put their heads down, which is the easiest way to manage billions of people.
As bad as this "virrus" is, we're managing it far better than previous pandemics.
