Earth has weeped at various times in history- all of them after the industrial revolution. In the long term, Earth survives, evolves, revolves. For nature, there is no "bad" or "good", there just is. Once you step out of an anthropocentric view of everything, it becomes clear.I don't think mother earth will notice.

That's already happened... where do you think all this technology came from... so far some nutcases have figured out ,or pay those who figure out how to build things like you describe and they run things... not in their basements... they fund universities and provide grants just for those purposes, the trickle down gives entertainment and keeps everyone on the job. I mean really... that's what it is.
It has happened... how do you think the world is managed other than through threats and fear. It isn't random or isolated, those nutcases are very organized in plans against the whole... imagine the logistic required to put the whole of the industrialized world at war... its been figured out and implemented at least twice the last century with measured outbreaks along the way to now. Bio weapons... as much can be engineered and they will make explosions as agents of war obsolete... and its not just about death... it's about control, death could be thought of as an escape.Has not happened yet or there would be isolated/random nuke explosions/strange new outbreaks, (not the hoax covid) 'round the world, indicating the beginning of the end.

Yes, there's that too... still though they are reading from the book which puts them downstream and years behind and if they do make a 'breakthrough' it will not be theirs. Tesla was on the verge till Westinghouse effectively ground it out with metered commercial drops... customers with recurring bills and obligations. No gloom and doom here, just looking at the way the world works. And yes, there is something bigger that makes life worth living but does not belong in this forum though it receives recognition and homage among the songs we enjoy.Let's not discount the DIY crowd ... coming soon, to a basement near you!

What does the book say? Was it supposed to do that?
You're probably right as it makes people uncomfortable. Being uncomfortable is not the reason people come here so that is perfectly understandable. This^^^^^ will get this thread shut down
That certainly happens. Noises in the basement.... quick, bolt the door and call the ghostbusters before there's an outbreak.Ah. You're forgetting the most important part. Most amateurs don't know what they're doing, and seldom read the book. If they manage to work their way into a corner, it's more of a "I meant to do that" or "is it suppmentality, and by the time some Junior Scientist realizes the mistake, it's too late - whatever it is they created accidentally has moved on to wreak carnage on an unsuspecting public.
Hold on - there's some weird noises coming from the basement ... I'll be right ba ...

The Blame Game puts this thread on a very slippery slope. Choose your posts wisely my friends!
