I have a chance to score a nice in excellent condition pair and all original.

I can pick these up for $2000. What the going rates on these on high and low ends?

What should i look for befote buying thesr

Take a look at eBay completed sales. I think you'll find that $2000 is a quite good price

Soo i was told original but..... im opening all drivers to make sure its all original. I must ask you guys the model numbers for all drivers in these speakers. My internet way to slow now to load up on pages or research

If the cabinet is in clean shape and MOST of the drivers are there its a good deal!!

Anothet question on the woofers. They paper or rubber? If they been recone value still the same?

The cones should be paper with foam surrounds. If the foam surrounds have deteriorated they'll need to be replaced with new foams. Unless the cones have been damaged or the voice coils are rubbing they should be fine.

If they've been reconed, as long as it was done cleanly and with the proper JBL recone kit, it shouldn't decrease any value.

Ok got them here home now. Kinda disappointed. One grill is broken and on both speakers the partical boards base are in horrible shape. The grill cloth needs some cleaning.

The cabinets themself look excellent.

The drivers has been recone and look good but not great and the woofer is (H) vetsin instead of the (A).

My wife hasnt seem them yet and im afraid she going to kill me due these sizes and may force me to sell them. God i hopeshe is okay with these.

Anyway broken grill and bottom base needs to be fix or completely changed.
