Let's See Your Miscellaneous Car Photos

Not a terrible price to pay. The International made it home just fine, but this engine is always a gamble. Not many made it out there to celebrate before the winter chill :(

The family is getting that weird "claustrophobic" feeling we had during the COVID years.

I hope this all ends soon.

I drove for a few years using used vegetable oil—obtained from a fast-food place—covering about 60,000–70,000 km. I simply filtered out the impurities; since it was palm oil, I didn't use it during the winter.
What engine and injection pump? A VE based 12V pump should bolt right in to the early common rail mounts.

Mercedes engine, code OM 602, non-turbo, with an inline Bosch injection pump.
Thank you. It appears that these did have the Bosch VE style pump in the later years. I've been brainstorming on an early 24V with a VE or P pump. That seems realistic on what I think can handle most anything.

Powerstroke 6.0 or International VT365

OEM Ford Calibration:
325 horsepower @ 3,300 rpm
570 lb-ft @ 2,000 rpm

This one was a Ford Gold coolant contamination disaster. Flushed the system and replaced radiator, oil cooler, egr cooler with aftermarket or modified parts. Has a different coolant type in it now. There is a long list of other reliability items done at the same time. Not recommended unless you're interested in some challenging wrenching.

my buddy used PVC for mocking up headers on his AC cobra clone. i think he drove the bits to the header builder for fear of moving it.

it took a while to construct but he seems happy as he can be.

I put 3 self-tapping screws in every joint and then welded a steel rod from the flange to the collector. To ship them I took them to the UPS store and let them pack them.

I used PipeMax to do the calculations. For the calcs I had to measure the intake port centerline length. To measure the centerline I used 1/8" tape top and bottom of the port, then took the average. See pics. Also measure port volume with a 100cc burette.

Did the same process for the intake manifold.
