Let's see your (real or simulated) Rosewood turntable

I know Denon, JVC and Thorens made Rosewood plinthed (is that a word?) decks, are there others? Let's see them. :D

Here's my JVC QL-A75

This makes me think of the folks in the Mini Cooper world who, when they get together, will group themselves by color.

My turntable is gloss black, so I'll just have to hang back and watch.

I think my HT-500 is rosewood, but it's so smooth and shiny I'm not really sure. It's a hard surface that won't dent with a fingernail, but other than that how do you really tell?

Sorry, but those JVC's aren't real rosewood. They are covered with a laminate. They look OK, but not real wood.

Not quite rosewood but a close relative

When it looks that good, who cares if it's real? :D

You sure? The brochure over on VE for the QL-Y7 says:

And befitting a state of the art turntable, there's one final touch, a sturdy cabinet trimmed with rosewood veneer and polished to a rich mirror-like finish, for a truly luxurious furniture appearance.

In the '82 catalog the QL-Y7 was $750, and the QL-A75 was $650, although it weighed a kilogram more. The finish looks the same on both, do you know for sure it's not real?

I like rosewood a lot here. I faced off my JBL econowaves and trimmed out the Maggie console amp pictured at bottom center with some nice Santos rosewood veneer (excise the mess; sorting through some amps and LPs here..)
