I went with 10,000uf for the power cap. and 4700uf for the output caps. Still haven't got it running yet. I have a short that was not there previously on one channel giving me 29 volts on the speaker terms.
Other channel is fine. I am now checking wiring for new caps but so far not found anything. Nice to have one channel in operation mode.
I found the voltage by doing a check of the outputs after the build.
Should not be any voltage there at all due to cap. isolation.

Here is a matching angle from my 1060, I see there is some difference between our units. Fuse stand and some of the boards seem a bit different.

On mine all the grey and orange soda can shaped caps are Elna and also the big black ones. Then there is 2 smaller black ones, one on the board under the fuses and another there on the board on the left (p900?) - they are Nippon Chemicon. To me, from the glue on some of the grey Elnas I think this is unrestored unit. What do you think? Thanks for you input and help.

ToniCH: I would say that your 1060 is completely stock.

Yes- looks completely stock to me as well, it has to be a late production unit with the black power and coupling caps as well as that fuse holder. Both the 1060's I restored had the grey elna's.

Issue with the sencore is the output, my counter can't pick it up. I have to remove the cable and then dial it in.

Interesting. I have yet to use mine and was wondering if it was decent enuf for these analog units. I have a "Guinea Pig" Realistic I am going to try it out on.

The fm output on them was always mediocre at best. The other issue is the plastic shaft coming out of the tuning cap, it gets brittle over time and can snap if the dial is forced.

Now the unit is a chart topper, due to good timing and karma on 4seatpilots part he scored me a sweet case for the 1060 in London-man, this thing looks like a champ!
