1. Brad decides to start drinkin' again!

I was class 1967. I still have all my report cars and shop award certs in a drawer. Those were the days....WHat you could buy for $10 is now $85? Sounds about right for measuring the loss of dollar value. The 1975 dollar is today worth 7-cents.
But sure, hold cash.
It is interesting to see how people turn out. If can be done without interfering....All my old girlfriends (and would-be girlfriends) are in those four books.
I’ll look at them and think, “What in the world did I see in her?” And, “I wonder what she looks like today?” Sometimes, it’s best not to go there.

My younger sister and brother were in high school at the same time. She was in the yearbook committee. I saw brother's one yearbook and he had funny name. Well, we made it back in one piece... barely. The brake master cylinder on my 2016 Charger intermittently failed 25 miles from home... had to it drive "Low and Slow" to avoid disaster (took the back roads and only encounter a hand full of other cars and slowed her down using the "Auto-Stick" to shift between first and third (and vice- versa). So my wife decided that 100F here in ABQ just isn't hot enough for her, so she is making me take her to Phoenix AZ tomorrow for a week... Egad !
Actually were going over to visit my younger brother and take in a John Mellencamp concert on Sunday night (8/09/26). We have good seats in the center underneath the roof of the open area amphitheater ("Talking Stick Resort Amphitheater") which is nowhere near the actual resort that is on the east side of town in Scottsdale, the venue is on the west side of town in Avondale (We saw the Police there about 20 years ago).
We're then going south to Tucson to visit an Air Force buddy and tour "Old Tucson" (movie set) then head out of town and will probably stop in Tombstone for an afternoon before heading to NM to tour the wineries around Deming (they make damn good wine down there). Finally to to Las Cruces and Mesilla (home of Ricky Ricardo- "Lucy, you got some splaining to do!") before getting back to ABQ next Thursday or Friday.
A friend went to the 25th-year high school graduation reunion. He said he was shocked at how some people have changed for the worse. It is interesting to see how people turn out. If can be done without interfering....
I went to my 50th last year and was shocked at how many had changed for the better and had lived full productive lives. The ones that went downhill didn't show up, but someone always knew what had been going on with them. One of the smartest guys in class became a new age crystal/tarot freak and lives in a van down by the river !A friend went to the 25th-year high school graduation reunion. Several ex-classmates ended up spiraling out of control. As you said, I was shocked at who ended up this way. They seemed to have everything figured out in high school.I went to my 50th last year and was shocked at how many had changed for the better and had lived full productive lives. I think most people live ordinary life's and measure life with ordinary rule. The smart guy may have found a smart scale to measure success and happiness I went to my 50th last year and was shocked at how many had changed for the better and had lived full productive lives. That does happen, sometimes, but living in a van down by the river evangelizing Marilyn Ferguson doesn't sound very successful.I think most people live ordinary life's and measure life with ordinary rule. The smart guy may have found a smart scale to measure success and happiness ![]()

Unless that is truly what makes you happy. There really are a few to whom that is heaven. That does happen, sometimes, but living in a van down by the river evangelizing Marilyn Ferguson doesn't sound very successful.
In college, we used to call ourselves "the 3 standard deviations from the mean."My pet theory on this is based on the distribution of AMBITION as a human trait. Using a six sigma distribution curve, the very far left would be individuals with ZERO ambition. All the way to the extreme far right (even well past the 0.13%) are a few people per million with enormously outsized ambition. These people become famous, ultra-rich, extremely murderous, extremely criminal, or make profound discovers, or produce profound art, and their names will usually be recorded in history. DaVinci, Gates, Rockefeller, Dahmer, Napoleon, Ponzi, Hitler, and so on.

Totally agreed in my reference also. I am thinking about the bell curve extremities may end up in the same place. Extremely intelligent and dumb people's action are out of normal man's league. That does happen, sometimes, but living in a van down by the river evangelizing Marilyn Ferguson doesn't sound very successful.
