Burgers today. Was planning on making them on the 'egg', but Mother Nature decided to bless us with some rain (which is OK, as we are very dry so far this year).
Swiss on mine & cheddar for my better half. Avocado, tomato, onion w/salt & pepper, mustard (Grey Poupon) & ketchup (Heinz is the only 'real' ketchup). On a potato bun, of course.
Beer was from our trip up to Lebanon, PA to watch the UP's #4014 'Big Boy' come in on Tuesday. Several thousand of us, that is. Quite the crowd, but it was worth it to see the world's largest steam locomotive come in & out. I digress............
My beer today was a Citrahaze from the Snitz's Creek Brew Pub in Lebanon, where we had lunch after the 4014 extravaganza. Excellent food and the Citrahaze (citrus in an unfiltered Hefeweizin) is one of the best beers I've had, so brought home a 4-pack. They were so busy with the train in town that our waiter was the brewmeister, who was schlepping food to help out in the front due to the crowd. When we ordered I ask if the beer was any good. He said definitely, and introduced himself (still wearing his rubber boots from trying to clean the brewing area). He was right. He brews an excellent beer. If you get to Lebanon, PA, highly recommended for beer & food.
