John,

Not a Norton... Either. Sorry!

This is not a mainstream brand. You will have to be a motorcycle fanatic to get it right.

Most folks have never even heard of one... let alone seen one.

Best...

Great thread....

I have WAY too many bikes for me to list. But one of my Favs is in my avatar. Curious to anyone who can guess what it is?

I will be duly impressed to the first one who guesses it right. I also will send a small motorcycle related gift to the winner!

When the correct guess is made... I will ask the person to email me with thier info and I will send the prize.

Best,

Went for a ride east of Denver, on some real lonely roads. Boy, I really want to take a nice long trip :)

I'll be trading in the ol' 440 for an absolutely gorgeous, custom 2007 Yamaha V Star 650 bobber from a great shop in Salt Lake by the name of Back Alley Bobbers. The guy does some AMAZING work! I will post some better pics when I take delivery in a couple weeks.

My 2 Gas Gas....got both new but old....they were never sold. EC 300 2004 and FSE 450 2005. I've put 5K miles on the 300 and 1600 on the 450. Had the 300 3 years and got the 450 late last summer.

The list of gone ones over the years is crazy CR 250, KZ125, CRF230, CRF100, CRF150, XR250L, IT175, DT 360, DT400, MX125, DT125, DT100, XL250 come to mind, there may be another one or two. Then there are the street bikes :)

The wife has a 2008 CRF230L. Both Gassers and the Honda have tags! While the Honda is a "dual sport" and sedate my bikes are race bikes with a tag. The slipper clutch ( http://www.adige.eu/public/ENG/products/aptc.asp ) on the 450 is fantastic. Hard to describe how it feels but once you experience it, it's hard to imagine anything else....on a 450 4 stroke single it's magic. Both Gassers have hydraulic clutches but the 450 takes almost zero effort and is very precise.

I'm an old man and still try to ride every day it's not cold as Hell frozen over.

The dog photo shopped on my "Ting Ting" is "Black Ivy" AKA "Lotion". She's the best dog in the world, and we have had plenty and have 7 others. She's "speacial". :)

It's getting to that time of year again

My recently-acquired 2009 Yamaha R1, to which I upgraded from my 2000 R1 earlier this year.

I dunno man....that bike is sharp but looks way too small for you. I had the same one, and I'm 5-10" with a 30" inseam; outgrew it fairly quickly. I'd look at a bigger ride if I were you.
