Some people just don't check sold listings

CS-99a with FB cones are the ones that go for good money.

Not sure what CS-99 without 'a' bring.

Overpriced gear is not unusual online. Sometimes you get surprised when it sells. Sometimes they re list it 3, 4 or 5 times before it sells, sometimes with only slight price decrease, sometimes not.

Those speakers look like the first pair that I ever bought, in 1967, but mine were Sansui with the wooden grill front.

Theres been on of those receivers on my local CL for quite some time at 85 bucks. Maybe I should buy it lol.

And the seller should know that if you do not know how to use contractions, dont. Just say "you are" in luck, not "your in luck".

The seller is quite consistent on his pricing for all of his sale... way too high.

He'll find an uninformed lover for that stuff.

Don't be surprised if you see that exact listing crop up here again with one of our own members asking if it's a good deal. Especially when they find out it was an AKer that paid $495 for the last pair.

Reminds me of a guy who is trying to sell 4430s for $2300 locally, and in his ad he says "Last eBay auction went for $3k so I don't think my price is too high". But of course a more thorough search indicates they on average go for somewhere between $1500-$2000.

Oh well. People can ask whatever they want for the goods they are selling. Maybe I'll put up some Panasonic Thrusters for $1000. :D
