SP10 MkII Factory black?

Saw this ad described as a factory SP10 Mk II in Black first I've seen.

Real or DIY?

Curious too, never seen a black version. Looks like some sort of hammertone finish.

Uhmmmmm....possesses the same finish as the SP 20, perhaps the owner wanted or had to repaint the frame with a textured color type...for me absolutely DIY

But I also notice the colour is stated on my SP10R box. So probably not relevant. I doubt black is factory, but could be wrong.

Not conclusive, just curious. MKII box didn’t list color. 10R is a different Technics.

The fact this unicorn is without a known equal does tend to make me think DIY but done very well
including the detail of the switches and their smooth paint.

I saw this ad last night too and was wondering the same thing. It appears to be missing the Technics badge, which makes me suspect DIY, but you never know. Maybe it could have been a custom job? Perhaps they allowed someone to special-order it in the same finish as the SP-20.

Little quiz......this switches and frame paint are they an exclusive in a very rare special edition sp10II series or are they DIY?

I seem to recall a gent on the bay that offered to restore SP10 tables into various finishes. Since many of these had heavy duty in radio stations they often were in less than pristine condition. My guess is DIY.
