Just saw QR last night, good show overall (despite some annoyances); I have a mini-review in the Today's Rock n' Roll playlist thread here (as if anyone is interested lol) :

This album was the sh#t my freshman year of high school; I must of played it daily. I played it on my brand new Panasonic portable cdp with "bass enhance" lol. Nowadays it's "What's a cdp?" And it's been that way for years already.

(For the record I have two Cowon DAP or PMP or whatever you want to call them, and they beat the crap out of my old portable cdp. I sure wish they were around when I was in high school! I would of gone nuts! All that music at my fingertips, in programmable lists, with great sound--with FLAC/Lossless at least...)

I also remember those days. I also listened to this album on my portable cdp.

Yep, the "good" ol' days, when cd's were $17 on up (I joined BMG and Columbia to get them cheaper) and Metallica was still HUGE (and good imo--post '91, no thanks ).

Not a bad time to be in high school musicwise. (Of course 60's and 70's classic rock was still my favorite even then.)

Well I don't listen to cd's much, but there's hardly anything wrong with doing so. :thmbsp:

As for online music, well unless it's lossless quality forget it. I'll stick to my FLAC's ripped from cd's.

Can't get away from this one in the Fall, probably because it came out in Aug. of '91 and I bought it when entering my freshman year of high school in Sept. and listened to it over and over all that Fall and Winter. It certainly has a "dark" or ominous sound that I associate with those "dreary" and dark (personally I LOVE Fall and Winter) cloudy/overcast chilly and cold days when all of nature is dying.
