What tv show are you currently binging?

Star Trek : The Original Series. Remastered version on Amazon.

Something goofy I've noticed, whenever men are shown shirtless or partly shirtless, they are always painted very bronze, including their nipples. I suppose nobody in 1968 would have noticed this on low-def TV but in HD it looks funny. I'm guessing they did this to slide it past the decency censors. You also can notice the bad skin and bad wigs on some actors / actresses. The intentional soft focus and backlighting whenever they show whoever the female love interest of the episode is also pretty corny.

I remember reading of comments by TV actors that expressed concerns about HD because it did not flatter them.

McDonald and Dodds season 2 on Britbox.

yeah, you see things that wouldn't have been seen otherwise. I remember around 20 years ago when HD TV really started becoming a thing that you saw the people on TV getting their teeth fixed and better makeup to hide skin blemishes. Then it just started to become a thing of hiring the hot weather girl.

Yeah... It was kind of fascinating at first. Resolution... it's everything.

Yes I have and loved it as well. About to start The Unforgotten with Nicola Walker who played Helen Bartlett in S&B. This time she’s the cop. Any thoughts on it?
That's a good series.

The only thing that I thought was a bit tiring was Nicola Walker's character; self-destructive and always looked liked she was about to break down. Interesting for awhile, but it dragged on too long for me.

Otherwise - good series.

I'm always down for a good British murder/mystery/cop show

It wasn’t 40 hours, though at times it might’ve seemed like it. It was only 6 episodes. Kinda reminded me of Wandavision in its complexity, but if you haven’t finished it, all is pretty much explained at the end. Sort of.

Finished it and while the loose ends were tied up, I still found myself thinking about other things while rwatching this serial. But it's done and since then it's been on to better stuff. They can't all be great or, @ times, even good (IMO), so I'll give 'em a B for their effort but a C for the result.

It does seem like sometimes they wanna hit the ball to left field just because they can.
