Who's listening to FM Tonight? What tuner?

Here's the unit

I have and greatly enjoy my Yamaha T-85. Glad you are enjoying yours, and the fact that it's been refurbished means it probably sounds and operates even better than mine ... truth is, that makes me a bit envious -- but in a good way.

Enjoy!

A classic tuner //I still have a T-80.

I sure wish I had owned that T-85 when I lived up on the hill there in Windham! Back then on even a modest onkyo receiver I'd get Boston (Emerson College), Albany, Greenfield, and more ....

I lived in West Windham with a view towards the south.

Hello, former neighbor (smile) .. I get Albany (WMHT)perfectly with a mounted Winegard 6065 .. the Sony HD tuner is simply magic...

Been in Windham since 2002 .. looks like I am going to stay !

95 bFm Border Radio lastnight via my 3 bar outdoor antenna and ProJect TunerBox. Sounded great for such a wee thing.
Not many stations down here. 90% are all very similar generic commercial stations so its only a 3-4 hour listening week via FM.
Could be worse though:D

I've been listening to my SX1250 lately. I have a very nice Rotel SS tuner, a couple of Dyna FM tuners that will become one really nice FM tuner, and the 1250. It's been fun moving the antenna around, pulling in all the local stations and listening to some nice jazz through the Cornwalls.

Jazz on CJRT, from atop the CN tower in toronto, about 90 miles away using the Sony XDR-F1HD and a newly mounted rooftop antenna... that is, until the lightening storm moved in

Been listening to Piano Jazz on the Sony XDR-F1HD -> Kenwood Supreme 600 -> AR91's. Marian's guest was a then-16 year old Grace Kelly, a multi-talented musician - she primarily plays Sax (extremely well), but also plays several other instruments, composes, and sings (rather well, sounds a bit like Stacy Kent).

The "new" system, notably the AR91's, really enhanced the enjoyment! :music:

listening to cambodian surf music on the "Dream of Hairy Lime" Wed nights from 8-9pm on KXLU in Los Angeles on TU/Au-717

Started the day listening to classic vinyl on my samsung nexus XM receiver running through my Marantz 2385 and Bose 901's. Tonight it is KLUK 98.9 Bullhead City and KRRK 101.2 Lake Havasu City AZ on my Marantz model 120 connected to a Marantz 3800/250 combo emitting happy vibes tHrough a set of JBL E-60's.

Last night listened to the Ed Love Show (Jazz) on WDET 101.9 (Detroit). Used the only tuner I own; a Realistic TM-1001. Sounded really good.

Sony XDR-F1HD to Yammy C-85 to Reylon TM400 tube amp.
Having the XDR-F1HD (my last buy) sitting next to the tube amp doesn't look right to me, but sounds good enough for a few hours of listening last night.

i change channels a lot, but right this minute:

dallas oldies (98.7) via carver tx-2 and kenny ka-4006 w/audio technica athm40fs cans...

Listening to my Kenwood KT-8005, 105.9 The Edge, DC classic rock station.

So hard to get a pic of this thing that does it justice.

Listening to 94.7 in Chicago on my MR74. Tomorrow my MR88 arrives and I get to see what HD is all about.
