Audiokarma friends I wouldn’t mind some tips on setting up the YSA-1 as it’s a new tonearm.

I have managed to attach my shelter 501 cart to the angled head. The counterweight & rear of the tonearm appears a bit different from the YA-39. Unfortunately I’m away for 10 days so all have a go at setting it up when I’m back.

Hope you all enjoyed the photos - the GT-2000X fit and finish is unbelievable...

Owning one GT-2000 is fine. Owning two is just greedy!

Seriously, though - congratulations. They look magnificent.

VERY Nice! Congrats. On my bucket list. Top flight packaging indeed. Cost a pretty penny to ship from Japan but most are still there, particularlly the 2000x's.

After having played around with my YSA-1 quite lot, I think it sounds/tracks best at the standard overhang of 14mm. I think Yamaha knew exactly what they were doing with the recommended numbers for their arms. Do you have a loupe or USB scope to check SRA? That can make a huge difference in sound (which you probably already know). You still have a tiny bit of wiggle room with those two fastening screws as well. Congratulations again on a legendary table!
