That was a double downer at my house. Our top three teams to root for are:...
Duke takes down #1 M Go Blue.
- Michigan
- Michigan State
- Whoever Duke is playing.

I generally root against Duke, but there are exceptions. I wanted UVA to be playing Duke as a #1.
That seems to be the case with many teams played against the Jayhawks. So much hatred displayed by these opponents when after all it is just a game.Iowa State got revenge on KU today. When KU wins a game, the fans sing the Rock Chalk Chant. Iowa State fans chanted "F*&$ KU". No class.

Agreed on both counts, but memories of Grayson Allen linger long. However, last night I didn't notice anything during the game to make me dislike them. I know, it's Duke, and we're supposed to. Where did all their villians go? Did the world run out of Bobby Hurleys and Christian Laettners? (yeah, I know, long ago)
Cam Boozer can play - big respect for that guy.

I would never disagree with your opinions in college hoops... except for now.Michigan State knows how to close a game. If I had a Michigan team, it would by Sparty.

Sparty trailed U-M by 16 at the half a few weeks ago, clawed back and took the lead with 7 minutes left. They trailed by one with four minutes left, then lost by 12. You could argue that knowing how to close and doing it are two different things.
Had my Hokies been able to win the very close games this season, they'd be a shoe-in for tournament. But alas .... They did beat UVa on New Years Eve and will see them again for the last game of the regular season.

My dark horse would be St. John's and if hot, Iowa State has the talent. And of course, Duke is Duke.
Obviously I wrote that before last night's blowout. Does that change things? Guess I'd need to see how Pitino's boys respond. But yeah, that performance kind of blew up my dark horse pick.
So new underdogs? Probably St. Louis - watched a couple of their games and they're a solid team but the A-10 isn't exactly the Big 100, so there's that. Then there's the Fightin' Corn. Can't deny Hoiberg has built a solid team there - Sam's a wily, get under your skin kind of player and that Frager kid, now that his ankle seems healed, they could be a contender.
